You Have Changed a Life

This is Asha. Asha was rescued from an institution disguising as an orphanage. She was one of 9 children taken away from their parents, with the promise that they would be educated and returned.

Instead Asha was left in a home where she was forced to work as a maid for three years. Bravely, she ran away, only to be brought back to the same home and suffer more years of child labour.

Upon rescue, Asha could not be reintegrated into her family for various reasons. She was placed in a loving home environment with a house mother. One day, someone did just what you did today – they sponsored.

Because of this, Asha’s life changed. She is now a qualified beautician, is looking to start her own business and she even owns a piece of land in her village.
