Commitment

BTO is committed to being transparent in our work and accountable to our stakeholders and community.
We are also committed to disclosing and disseminating timely, relevant and accurate information in an
accessible format to all stakeholders and actively encourages their inputs and feedback.

As per the BTO Communications Policy, BTO shares publicly and openly information relating to:

• Financial Management

BTO is committed to transparency and integrity in our financial management (see BTO Financial
Management Policy). This is demonstrated by the external auditing of BTO’s finances by a registered
company auditor. The resulting Annual Report is reviewed by the Board at BTO’s Annual General
Meeting and made available to all stakeholders on the BTO website and via the BTO newsletter. It is
also shared with in-country partners and distributed in hard copy during field visits.

• Governance Structure

BTO shares information regarding our governance structure, legal status and organisational purpose.

• Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (PMEL)

BTO will disseminate information about programs, partnerships, results and lessons to all
stakeholders – primary stakeholders, partners and donors (as outlined in BTO’s Communications
Policy and Program Partnership Approach).

• Policies

BTO shares organisational policies that are relevant to stakeholders external to the organisation.

Privacy Policy available to view on the BTO website.

Procedures

How to make a request for information:
A request for information can be made by emailing us at [email protected]

BTO will respond in the following way:

1. Acknowledge the senders request for information once received. This may be by an email
notification.
2. Confirm that the information requested is on the approved list for distribution.
3. Collate information and send to the requester.
Note: Complaints may be made via the process set out in the BTO Complaints Policy available on the
website.
