Beyond the Orphanage

The BTO Scholarship Fund provides those in our care in Nepal and Kenya with funds for tertiary study and vocational training.

In addition to providing a secure and loving home, we help those in our care to achieve their aspirations and to walk into the world as self-sufficient and empowered young adults.

In Nepal and Kenya we work with our local partners to identify the educational needs of those who are completing their higher school education. Each young person has a goal in mind.

Anshu (top), has recently graduated and is now a qualified assistant laboratory technician. She is keen to take the next step in her studies. Asha (above) is training to be a beautician, something she has dreamed of since she was a little girl!

Our Scholarship Fund

By donating a scholarship, you are ensuring bright futures for some of the most vulnerable young people in the world. Changing one young person’s life can positively impact their community and future generations.  
Anjan (above) is now a qualified surveyor thanks to the generosity of one of BTO’s supporters who donated a 2-year scholarship.
Leave your mark
You can put your name to the scholarship and leave a legacy that will have ongoing impact. Or you can organise a team and donate a scholarship. Workplace giving is also another way you can fund a scholarship. We’ll keep you updated on the progress of each young person you support. 

You can donate a scholarship in two ways:

  1. Make a single, outright donation

  2. Build a fundraising page where you can gather a group or team, to pitch in together

Scholarship donations are tax-deductible in Australia and the USA.

The cost of a full scholarship is AUD $6,000 (2 years education and living expenses), and a half scholarship is $3,000 (1 year education and living expenses).
